William Trainer CEO, President & Director

Mr. William Trainer is a key founder of Vicinity Motor Corp and has served as President and Director since its inception in 2008.  Mr. Trainer has over 25 years experience importing and exporting heavy machinery, and has successfully pioneered and brought several new products to the Canadian market.  William has also owned and managed heavy construction equipment dealerships throughout Western Canada.

Dan Buckle Chief Financial Officer

Dan Buckle joined Vicinity Motor Corp in 2018 and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with more than 20 years of diversified experience and leadership in finance. Dan has mainly worked as a finance executive with high growth public companies in the manufacturing sector with roles in corporate finance, M&A, and financial oversight and reporting. Dan also worked in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

John LaGourgue VP, Corporate Development, Director

John LaGourgue joined Vicinity Motor Corp in June, 2016 and brings with him over 20 years of management, sales, financial and investment experience in public and private companies. John has served in senior management and directors’ roles for public companies since 2009. Mr. Lagourgue manages the Company’s capital markets strategies and corporate communications.

Brent Phillips VP, Sales

Brent joined Vicinity in November 2021, bringing over 20 years of experience in the commercial transportation field, with a specific focus on commercial buses and trucks and previous leadership roles at the distribution and manufacturing level including sales, marketing, and operations. His in-the-field customer support experience ranges from single vehicle operators and start-ups to large commercial truck and transit fleet operations. Prior to joining Vicinity, Brent served as General Manager at Alliance Bus Group, a leading bus distributor. Before joining Alliance, Brent was the Vice President of Sales, Commercial Bus Group at REV Group, a leading designer and manufacturer of specialty vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services. Previously, he was the Vice President of Sales at BusWest.

Marion McGrath Corporate Secretary

Marion McGrath has been actively engaged in the securities industry for over 30 years specializing in corporate governance and compliance of publicly traded issuers listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and the Canadian Securities Exchange. Prior her current role, Ms. McGrath was a senior paralegal with a Vancouver-based securities law firm.
